Enhancing Research Quality: The Impact of the EQIPD Quality System Explored in the iRISE ProjectGoEQIPD publication describes

In our recent peer-reviewed article in Applied Neuroscience, we explore the implementation and potential benefits of the EQIPD Quality System in preclinical research. Despite numerous guidelines aimed at improving research practices, challenges remain, particularly in ensuring consistent quality and reproducibility across studies. The EQIPD Quality System was developed as a comprehensive and adaptable approach, designed to integrate continuous improvement into research environments.

The EU-funded iRISE project, running from 2023 to 2026, aims to assess the impact of the EQIPD Quality System through both retrospective and prospective studies. These studies will evaluate changes in the use of best practices, research climate, and the relationship between research quality and researchers’ socio-cultural backgrounds.

Our findings aim to highlight how systematic approaches like the EQIPD Quality System can enhance the rigor and reproducibility of preclinical studies, ultimately addressing critical gaps in translational research and contributing to more reliable outcomes in drug discovery.
